Connect. Recover. Thrive.
The Recovery Cafe provides a drug-, alcohol-, and judgment-free environment for individuals focused on recovery from addiction and substance use disorder. It is a gathering place for people to congregate with others who are also in recovery, enjoy a meal, take classes and gain skills, and build community with each other.
About the Cafe
A Safe, Sober Gathering Place
Community Support and Connection
A key component of Connections Recovery Cafe is a peer-to-peer support model through community, mentorship, and weekly Recovery Circles. Research and practice show that peer-to-peer support is a key predictor of recovery and long-term sobriety, and the Cafe provides support for members who want to rebuild their lives and break the cycle of addiction. Cafe members can connect with other individuals in recovery, build community in a supportive environment, and encourage each other to stay committed to sobriety with compassionate accountability.
Recovery Circles
Cafe members meet weekly in small support groups called Recovery Circles. Each Circle agrees to share honestly, respect the experience and privacy of others, and provide support and accountability to other members. Recovery Circles are led by trained facilitators, who guide members through the Recovery Circle process while allowing for freedom, flexibility, and creativity in conversations and feedback.
